Deserialazing LocalDateTime with Gson

I’m doing integration tests and I was strugling on deserialazing a LocalDateTime from JSON using Gson.

Then here’s how I get that working properly:

Gson gson = new GsonBuilder().setFieldNamingPolicy(FieldNamingPolicy.LOWER_CASE_WITH_UNDERSCORES)
    .registerTypeAdapter(LocalDateTime.class, new JsonDeserializer<LocalDateTime>() {
        @Override
        public LocalDateTime deserialize(JsonElement json, Type typeOfT, JsonDeserializationContext context)
                throws JsonParseException {
                    DateTimeFormatter format = DateTimeFormatter.ofPattern("yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss");
                    return LocalDateTime.parse(json.getAsString(), format);
        }

    })
    .create();
